MLK Jr Day of Service

FRAZER FOREST VOLUNTEER WORKDAY

Monday, January 16, 2023
9:00am–12:00pm

Frazer Center
1815 S. Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. SPACE IS LIMITED.

Join us in this special service project on MLK Jr Day. As part of our ongoing, long-term project of restoring our precious old-growth forest, we will be working on the sandbag retaining wall in the creek to prevent erosion, particularly around the root structure of our famous twin tulip poplar.

No experience is necessary, but this is a labor-intensive project that is also mucky. Please do not sign up unless you are prepared for heavy lifting in a shallow creek.

Teens (13-17) are welcome to volunteer IF accompanied by an adult.

Frazer Center relies heavily on our volunteers to help maintain the Frazer old-growth forest so we can continue to serve children and adults with and without disabilities. Thank you for caring about our neighborhood greenspace and inclusive communities!

More information will be provided with sign-up.
