There's a new piece of art behind our lobby!
The Frazer Center’s mission states that we are an inclusive community where people with and without disabilities gather, learn, and flourish together. The new lobby art is a visual interpretation of that mission. It was created by our inclusive community!
Artist Thea McKay McElvy donated her time to design and direct the project. Deloitte U.S. sponsored the project financially and through volunteer support, and our children and adults were the artists who painted the panels and created the artwork that makes up the kaleidoscope images. In those kaleidoscope images, you can see butterflies, bees, and flowers drawn by children in Frazer’s Summer Camp, and faces from the art of the late Eugene, a prolific artist who was a participant in our adult program. The three panels represent the three arms of our mission and our three program areas: Gather (Cator Woolford Gardens), Learn (Child Development Program), and Flourish (Adult Program). Check out the pictures below and make sure to check it out in person the next time you stop by!
