Nature Camp – Summer 2026

Inclusion Nature-Based Camps for rising Kindergarteners/1st Graders (ages 4-6)

REGISTRATION OPENS SOON

Frazer’s Nature Campers explore Frazer Forest with binocularsEvery day of Frazer’s Nature Camp brings new adventures rooted in discovery, inclusion, and fun!

Campers explore the wonders of Frazer Forest and Cator Woolford Gardens—playing in the dirt, discovering mushrooms and worms, making nature-inspired art, and even writing poetry.

Each week features a new nature theme, sparking curiosity and hands-on learning. On special days, guest educators from organizations such as Birds Georgia and Trees Atlanta lead campers in engaging, age-appropriate activities.

Whether digging in the dirt, watching for wildlife, splashing through the creek, or collecting materials for creative projects, Frazer’s Nature Campers are building a lifelong appreciation for the natural world—one muddy, magical moment at a time.

FOR FAMILIES WHO ARE NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN FRAZER CENTER’S PRE-K PROGRAM:

Because INCLUSION is the cornerstone of Frazer’s mission, we want to make sure all campers can participate in every activity, regardless of abilities and disabilities.
  • Once you have filled out the registration form, our Inclusion Team will reach out to arrange a meeting with you and your child.
  • The team will then assess whether or not Frazer is staffed and properly equipped to accommodate each child, and, if applicable, ensure that your child’s therapist is in attendance at camp.
  • No payment is due until after the assessment.
  • Frazer’s accounting department will contact you to finalize your registration once the assessment is complete.
  • DEADLINE TO APPLY for any session is 1 week prior to that session's first day — to ensure that the assessment can be scheduled and completed.

FAQs: Summer Camp 2026

1) What are the summer camp hours?

Regular summer camp hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please drop off your child no later than 9:00 a.m. We will be in the forest by 9:45 a.m. Pick-up time is no later than 5:00 p.m.

2) Are "before care" and "after care" offered?

The Frazer Center will not provide "before care" and "after care" services.

3) What is the cancellation policy?

Per the enrollment application, no refunds or prorating will be provided. If your child will not attend a specific session, please notify the Frazer Center administration so that we can plan accordingly.

4) What type of clothes should my child wear to camp?

In order for us to maintain your child's safety, all children must wear sneakers, socks, shorts or pants, and a t-shirt, as they will be outside for a significant portion of each day.

5) Are there any other items you recommend bringing?

Yes. On the first day of camp, your child must bring a reusable grocery bag containing non-aerosol sunscreen, non-aerosol insect repellent, rain boots, raincoat or poncho, sun hat, an extra change of clothing including underwear, socks and shoes. Please label all items with your child's name. If items are not labeled, we will label them with a permanent marker. Your child must bring a water bottle filled with water and take it home EACH DAY upon pickup. For nap time, please bring a sleeping bag for your child to nap in.

6) What meals are provided throughout the day?

Each day the Frazer Center will provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

7) Will the students go outside on rainy days?

Yes. As part of the nature-based camp, spending time outdoors, regardless of rain, is required unless the weather is deemed inclement.

8) How much time will be spent outside?

The majority of outside time will be spent in the morning. However, outdoor activities will take place in the afternoon.

9) Is there a rest period during the day? What may they do or not do during this time?

After lunch the children will rest from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. During this time your child may sleep or be provided with a quiet activity.

10) Is a therapist required if my child has a disability/special need?

This will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Our Inclusion Team and Summer Camp Administrator will conduct an observation before enrollment to assess each child’s needs. The team will communicate with you to determine if Frazer is equipped and staffed to provide the appropriate support for your child and the best course of action. Within the application, please specify the challenges your child may have, and a team member will reach out to schedule the observation. This process applies for all children who apply for Summer Camp outside of current students (because they have already been assessed.)

11) If my child does not attend Frazer for Pre-K, will they need to be observed before enrollment in summer camp?

Yes. Once your child's application has been submitted, our Summer Camp Administrator will contact your family to schedule an observation.
